The Nordic Journal of Cultural Policy aims at creating a forum for cultural policy research in the Nordic countries and to disseminate relevant cultural policy research and information to audiences in academic communities, public administrations, cultural institutions, the media and other organisations. The journal also wants to encourage and stimulate debate on issues relevant to cultural policy.

The Journal is aimed at readers and writers who are active as professionals or researchers in the field of cultural policy in the Nordic countries. The journal publishes articles in Norwegian, Danish, Swedish and English and its Editorial Board consists of researchers from the Nordic countries. The editorship of the Journal is currently at the Centre for Cultural Policy Research Cupore in Helsinki.

The Nordic Journal of Cultural Policy is an open access journal. Two issues are published yearly. Usually one of the issues is a thematic issue for which a special call will be launched.

The journal is now looking for proposals for a thematic issue to be published in autumn 2022 (issue no. 2/2022). The volume should be prepared by the guest editor(s).

Please send your proposals for the thematic issue to editor-in-chief Louise Ejgod Hansen (draleh@cc.au.dk) by January 31st 2021.

Please include the following information in your proposal:

  • An abstract (500 words) describing the topic for the thematic issue and its significance;

  • Short biography of the guest editor(s)

Proposals will be subject to approval by the NKT Editorial Board in February 2021.
