Studia Musicologica Norvegica

Norwegian Journal of Musicology

Studia Musicologica Norvegica is a referee-based annual publication for musicologists. It functions as a link between musicologists and others interested in music in Norway, being at the same time the public face of Norwegian music research.

The annual contains articles of musicological character and spans from music history to ethnomusicology, work analyses and theory, as well as book reviews and essays.

Studia Musicologica Norvegica is read by music researchers and students, music school teachers, music teachers and others generally interested in music.

The annual is published by Universitetsforlaget in collaboration with Norwegian Society of Musicology and with economic support from The Research Council of Norway.

Studia Musicologica Norvegica is issued annually in September and contains about 200 pages. It is published in Norwegian but regularly contains articles in English or German; other articles carry summaries in English.
