Kva er kristendommens sentrale myte - og kvifor?

The article reflects upon what the central myth of Christian religion is, and why it is so. It takes as its starting-point the concept of ‘broken myth’ as a central characteristic of Biblical religion, and inquires after the central ‘broken myth’ of Christianity. From a discourse-sensitive approach to Biblical theology (Ricoeur), it goes on to find in newer trinitarian theology (Rahner, Jüngel, Jenson) an important extension of the continuous breaking of the myth in Biblical discourse, but also the continuous retention of myth in Christianity’s talk of God.
